UPDATE:
The Primal Diet organization and its owner replied

Public reply addressing our requests
and private negotiations for the sale of the data

This is the first major update since the primal-diet.net campaign started 3 months ago.

We could not give any updates on what was going on in the background because we were in talks with Paul Kruhm, who is the owner of Primal Diet related things since Aajonus died. Now, we have reached a stage where we can talk about it.

First, I thank everyone who signed and shared this campaign, and directly contacted the Primal Diet organization staff.

Because they received so many messages from us, they had to address the topic. Their public reply is extremely disappointing and dishonest, and a mere attempt at damage control. Do not let them gaslight you into thinking that there is almost no Aajonus data that they are withholding, that they can't publish it, or that they are trying to uphold Aajonus' works. There are many lies, omissions, and unproven claims in their public statement that I will reply to.

Let's clear them up right away, Aajonus said in 2009 that he was working on FOUR BOOKS.

The detoxification book was only one of them, there were many other books, such as the FOOD LAW book that he previously had named and announced in 2002 at the end of the recipe book. I already mentioned these four books in the main page of the campaign.

It is also not true that all of Aajonus' new books were all published in his newsletters. Only a fraction of the content of the new content that was originally planned for the books was published in the newsletters. Aajonus died abruptly in 2013, so he didn't have the time to put all this book content in the newsletters. This should be obvious to anyone who thinks about it for 5 seconds.

Additionally, in the main page of the campaign, I provided the quotes where Aajonus explained precisely the new content that he was going to put in the detoxification book, and this content is NOT in the newsletters. So there is still a lot of new content that was not published. By the way, if you count the pages of the newsletters, it is not even close to 1500 pages, there are 500 pages at most. It is even written on the official product page of the newsletters compilation.

The unpublished data is not all on Aajonus' hard drives, a lot of it, especially CONSULTS, were given to Jim, Paul, etc. after Aajonus died, so they cannot pretend they don't have access to it. We already posted proof on this on the main page of the campaign. So request them to publish these consults that they possess and lied to people about publishing for years, because they obtained them from people by promising they would publish them, then never did. Extremely shameful.

Now, I will speak about Paul Kruhm, and the conversations and negotiations we had.

Few people know this, but Paul is the owner of "Primal Diet" since Aajonus died. He was the publisher of his books, and inherited Aajonus' two trusts, Optimal Ways of Living, and Rights to Choose Healthy Foods in 2013. This includes the Primal Diet trademark, the copyright to Aajonus' works, etc.

To this day there is no page explaining all of this clearly, so it took us a bit of time to confirm this hierarchy.

Jim Ellingson and Phoenix Be are only allowed to work "officially" with Primal Diet because Paul allows them to. What this means is that Paul is the decision maker.

We are going to disclose our talks with him because he has been dishonest, telling different things in private and in public, and has stopped replying to us in the middle of our negotiation process, despite us giving him an opportunity to fix what he is responsible for. Instead, he and his collaborators chose to trick people while not fixing a single issue of the 3 main issues we brought up, and see if everyone would be gullible enough to believe it and let them off the hook.

In those exchanges you will see that Paul is the owner of the Primal Diet, that he confirms there is more Primal Diet data to sell, that the coaching is useless, and that the actions of one of the coaches look like criminal abuse, and more.

In the past, I had tried to contact Paul, but he refused to have a conversation.

One day after the primal-diet.net campaign started, Paul was open to talk.

I share with him the link to primal-diet.net and summarize to him the main issues.

Paul starts by asking questions.
From the beginning, he is lying, saying he has "no control" over Phoenix, despite admitting later in our conversation that he granted him the use of Primal Diet property and is working with him, which is obvious.
It is an odd thing to deny, but he is probably trying to avoid responsibility for what's happening.

He also mentions that it is "fair" to ask for unpublished Aajonus data, but that it is costly and that he is open to discussing me being given access to compile material for publication.

Paul already acknowledges from the start that there is new content waiting to be published.

I reply to his first questions, with information we already know, so I'll skip this part.

I then reply to his offer about participating to the publication of the new data, and mention several of us have shown interest in it in the past and offered money.

Paul then asks for me to make an offer for the unpublished data, between 20k and 40k.

I make a first offer to buy the unpublished data for 25k, plus a guarantee that we will do the extra work necessary of compiling it and publishing it.

Paul then makes a weird statement. He says that Aajonus would roll in his grave if he accepted to sell the data for only 25k.

Isn't Aajonus rolling in his grave because Paul hasn't released his unpublished works for 11 years?

It is quite questionable of Paul to use the name of his dead "friend" to try to ask for more money for Aajonus' new works that should be his responsibility to release.

As mentioned on the main page, it is false that you need any money to do so. He could have released drafts of unpublished books unedited, and people will still buy them. Volunteers would and have offered to do any work necessary for free over the years. It would be nothing new for them either: they already benefitted from the work of volunteers many times in the past, for products that they are selling on the official website.

Still, although it is Paul's responsibility to make Aajonus' vital information available, we are ready to pay for it.

An important note here: as mentioned previously, Paul also acknowledges that he is working with Phoenix, in a similar way to how he is trying to work with me. So there is no doubt that as the current owner of Primal Diet, Paul has responsibility over Phoenix's actions when Phoenix is acting under the official Primal Diet name. Did we need Paul's confirmation for this? No, it is obvious. However, this is an extra confirmation.

As for the "privacy" laws, Paul is referring to individual consults Aajonus did with people, not his unpublished books. Of course, it is possible to sign a contract guaranteeing privacy and to anonimize the data of such consults that would be published.

I will skip the long reply I made to him afterwards, in which I provide the details he is asking, including my name, my location, and where I also indicate my willingness to travel to him if necessary.

Paul doesn't reply. After thinking about why he would refuse the deal, I consider he might need to pay other people than himself to get all the data I am asking for, so I raise the offer to 35k.

Paul still doesn't reply.

After the New year holidays, around 2 weeks later, I send him another reminder.

Paul then asks for my address and my passport. I already told him my name previously as well as my country of residence, so I find it strange he would ask for even more personal information at this stage. I ask him why he would need my passport, and if that means he is accepting the offer.

The conversation then gets repetite as Paul repeatedly asks for the same thing and seems to ignore what I am saying, so I will skip this part.

He doubles down and acts increasingly condescending, implying that I've "never done this", and that he can't even "consider" the offer without me fully doxxing myself to him first.

Since he says deals can't be concluded on Facebook and that he needs to know me, which I agree with, I offer him to do a video call so we can progress.

Paul reads the message but doesn't reply.

I wait 2 weeks, and after the New Year holidays, I send him a reminder. Paul reads the message but doesn't reply again.

3 weeks go by. Paul still doesn't reply to me. However, he lets Phoenix post an official statement about the unpublished data, while still completely ignoring me and leaving our negotiations about this data in the air.

Since we had just finished our full investigation into Phoenix's scam Primal Diet coaching, and published it just the day before Phoenix made his statement on behalf of the organization, I send Paul the link to the investigation.

The investigation shows without the shadow of a doubt that Phoenix is a scammer, destroying Aajonus' works from the inside, in legal terms, is engaging in trademark tarnishment and false advertizing.

I also send a reminder to Paul about our negotiations and my offer to Paul to pursue them to the next step through a video call.

Again, Paul reads the message but doesn't reply.

Paul is clearly guilty here.

He has proven through our communications that he is working with Phoenix, and made it clear that Phoenix can only be acting under the Primal Diet name because Paul allows him to.

Therefore, upon being presented with the evidence of Phoenix destroying Aajonus' works, and scamming people, Paul should be taking action and stopping Phoenix. However, Paul keeps letting Phoenix act in complete opposition to Aajonus' works. Since Paul is responsible for upkeeping Aajonus' works, this makes him complicit in Phoenix's scam.

This was my conversation with Paul.
Someone else from our group also contacted Paul to warn him about Phoenix's scam coaching and him having Chris, a notorious abuser, on his team.

Here is Paul's reply to this person, which was at around the same time as when I started negotiating with him:

In his email to this person, Paul lies by saying the same thing he told me, claiming he is not in control of Phoenix and Chris.

However, at the end of the email, he asks for evidence about Phoenix misusing the Primal Diet trademark. Indeed, he is the owner of the Primal Diet trademark, and he is the one who allows Phoenix and Chris to act under the Primal Diet name.

So how does him saying he has no control make any sense? It obviously isn't true. He can decide at any time to revoke their rights to use the Primal Diet trademark.

Remember in my conversation with Paul that he said he was working with Phoenix, and even seemed to have some sort of royalty deal with him.

Paul gave full admin access of the official primaldiet.net website to Phoenix, as well as its entire mailing list, it isn't the secret, then he tells people he has no control over him, taking us for fools.

He also writes that Chris "does not work for" his trust. It is a detail whether Chris directly or indirectly works for Paul's trust, the fact is that he is officially promoted by the official website and using Paul's trademark, with Paul's consent.

Paul acknowledges that what Chris did looks to him like criminal actions. So Paul doesn't mind officially promoting Chris on primaldiet.net as the new face of Primal Diet and letting him make money off of Aajonus' own organization, while himself admitting that the abuse Chris did towards people in the Primal Diet community can be qualified as criminal.

To top it off, after saying he is not responsible, Paul proceeds to passive-aggressively call the victim of Chris' abuse mentally ill for sending him this email, while disguising this insult as a "concern" for the person's mental health. This is the most unprofessional and rude email we have seen from them, even worse than the way Phoenix and Jim have replied to us on this issue.

As was written previously, in my various messages to Paul, since the beginning, and including my very last message to him, I have provided him with all the evidence he needs to see that Phoenix is scamming people.

However, Paul hasn't acted on it, and completely ignores the messages talking about it. He only pretends to ask for proof that the trademark is being misused, then ignores the proof when it is given to him. Since he explicitly asked for it, it further proves he is complicit in Phoenix's scam.

Needless to say, Paul didn't reply to the follow-up email of this person.

Summary

Paul Kruhm is the owner of Aajonus' Primal Diet trusts and copyrighted data since Aajonus died. He is the decision maker of official Primal Diet matters.

Paul lies to you about no worthwhile new data existing, while trying to negotiate with us for dozens of thousands of dollars for royalty deals for this data.

Paul also tricks you into thinking all of this new data is only on a hard drive he doesn't possess, while he was given dozens of consults people had with Aajonus and asked him to publish, but that he still hasn't published for years, and refuses to comment about.
Ask him:

• Those many consults are not on Aajonus' hard drives, they are in your possession, and people have given you explicit permission, even asked you, to publish them. Why haven't you published them?
• Why are you trying to hide this by not mentioning them in your public statement?

Paul lies to you about not having control over Phoenix and Chris, while acknowledging he has control of the Primal Diet name and is allowing them to officially use it.
Ask him:

• Why are you lying about not having control over Phoenix and Chris when they are obviously working under you?
• Why do you say Phoenix's coaching is useless yet letting him act in complete opposite to Aajonus' works?
• Why are you saying Chris' actions seem criminal and that you are sorry for the victims of his abuse, yet letting him be officially promoted by your official Primal Diet trademark and primaldiet.net website?

Also:

• Why does Paul refuse to do a video call with me (Rom) while asking me for my passport?
• Why did he stop replying in the middle of our negotiations after we offered him 35k?

Phoenix says that Paul's trust helps farmers like Amos Miller, but where is the proof of this? The community forums on Facebook, Telegram, etc. have all shared articles and donated to Amos Miller the two times they were attacked, however the official website has never shared anything about it, neither in a newsletters, nor even a simple article on the primaldiet.net.

• So how is the money used to defend farmers?
• Where are the documents proving this claim since they mention it?

You can see a photo of Paul together with Aajonus and his wife on a Facebook post Paul posted the day Aajonus died.

What to do now? We recommend you contact the Primal Diet staff again, as well as Paul Kruhm directly, and ask them these questions in light of this new information.

They should already have released the 20+ consults with Aajonus they took from the community at the very least.

Your signing the petition and contacting them is the reason why Paul replied to me, opened negotiations, and why they released a public statement trying to justify themselves. Your action is decisive.
